Please check and make sure all information is correct. It is vital that we have all correct information so we can have your information for Legal, Life Insurance and Mailing Address.

Just a reminder...Next MEETING will be August 15th, Friday Noon at the "Texian BBQ", Hopkins next to HEB. You don’t have a voice unless you attend.
The Hill Country Lodge has enrolled in the National F.O.P. Legal Defense Plan. We need to make sure all members have paid up on their dues and make sure you are signed up if you want the coverage.
The GREAT deal about this coverage is that the Plan is owned by the F.O.P. Your appeal process is to COPS, not an attorney or insurance board.
You also get to choose your attorney for the plan. I will supply
you a list of the Texas attorneys. For example, we have Greg Zaney, Phil Adkins, Porter Rogers Dahlman & Gordon who are from Austin. There are dozens more through-out the State who are on the Plan. If you want someone signed up, let Larry Sowards know and contact will be made with the attorney.
A complete list of attorneys will be submitted to our members by next month.
Make no mistake, this plan is great coverage and beats all other coverage’s.

Fund-raiser- Scratch-off Lottery raffle. Get your chance to win a roll of scratch off tickets. Contact President Ormsby, Brothers Jarman, or Sowards for tickets. Drawing will be September 1, ’97.
Sights and Sounds- We are planning another booth this year and will be giving you details as the event gets closer.
F.O.P. Youth Sports- Brother Calabrese is getting ready to start another year of youth Football. See for yourself what an impact FOP Sports has on our community. We will announce opening day.
Don’t forget to attend the next meeting. We will be discussing what the lodge will do in the next year and our stand on the POA Referendum. Sure would hate to see a strike here like UPS.

Get Well Soon Brother Rojo. Brother Rojo recently had surgery and is doing fine. The Lodge did send flowers delivered by Brother Mark Jarman.
Congratulations to Debra and Larry Sowards. Debra gave birth to their second daughter (Lauren Michaela) August 2nd. Both mother and baby are doing fine.
Brother David Burns flood assistance. President Ormsby has made a request for assistance for Brother Burns who lost all his possessions in the Wimberley Flood. Brother Burns only made it out of his residence with his family, safely. President Ormsby has been giving 100% all the proceeds received by public, FOP State Lodge, and other Texas Lodges to Brother Burns and his family.
